Click on the links below or the navigation buttons above to see detailed representations of many of the different program screens within Mineral Search.  Because these are enlarged images, loading time may be somewhat longer on certain computers.

Browser - This Is the Main Menu, and the screen shows 18 minerals at a time, incorporating navigation buttons to browse through all of the minerals in the database like a slide show.  You can also choose here to work with all 700 minerals, or just the 300 more Common minerals, or just the 110 Gem minerals.  Clicking on the photo for any one mineral takes you to its complete mineral description and enlarged photo.

Property Search - Use this series of screens to identify an unknown mineral or gem.  If you like, you can choose to search through all 700 minerals, or just the 300 more Common minerals, or just the 110 Gem minerals.

Mineral Display - This shows the complete description of the mineral, along with a standard size photo.  Cycle through multiple pictures of the mineral, or zoom in to enlarge the photos.  You may enter additional data in the User Notes box, such as other Locales of that mineral.

Catalog - Here you can catalog your mineral or gem collection.  Using a digital camera, you may add a photo for each specimen.  You can export the data from the Catalog record in order to print labels for your mineral display cases, including select data such as Name and Locale.

Periodic Table - This table is interactive. Click on any element symbol to trigger a pop-up box listing the element Name, natural State, and Atomic Weight.
