The Inspector,
the most sensitive pocket Geiger counter available, offers a
digital readout
instead of a traditional analog meter visual readout, as shown in these pictures. The readout is displayed with a red count light and audible beep
(play this 
of 45 mm (1.75 in),
increasing the efficiency of
radioactivity detection, and offering excellent sensitivity to low
levels of Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and X-rays. See picture at right. This
feature makes the Inspector suitable for applications requiring higher levels of
sensitivity such as checking food for radioactive contamination.
With the
recent addition of a user-settable Audible Alert, the Inspector has been
re-named the Inspector + or Inspector Alert. This is the same
alert feature as is found on the Radalert 50. The controls are on the top panel
of the unit (see photo).
The
Inspector also includes an adjustable timer used to set sampling periods
of 1 minute, 10 minutes, or 1 hour, up to 24 hours. See the photo above.
