Download a demo version of Mineral Search from this page. The demo version is identical to the standard version, except that its database contains only 50 minerals versus 700 in the full version. To download, click on the link below.  You will be saving to your disk a self-extracting zip file called MinSrch4Demo.exe.  The demo file is 9 MB in size, and will take a minute or so to download on a typical computer.  After downloading, simply double-click on the file. It will automatically install the program to your hard drive and give you an opportunity to launch the program file at the end of installation. Or, you can later run the program from the desktop shortcut created upon installation, or by opening the file called MineralSearch.exe from within the default directory of C:\MineralSearch4Demo, or from within any alternative directory you may have specified during installation.  You may want to print out this page to save the above directions.
